BIO
Chaia is an artist who brings old-world Yiddish music into conversation with the sounds of house and techno. Blending the earthy textures of klezmer and archival Yiddish voices with hypnotic electronic grooves, her sound is both ancestral and electric—folklore for the nightclub. In live performance, she weaves together accordion, vocals, and an SP-404 sampler, creating a tactile, loop-driven sound.
Chaia has performed internationally at The NAMM Show, Pop Montreal, KlezMore Vienna, Shtetl Berlin, Sonic Territories, and more. Her mixes have been featured on The Lot Radio, Refuge Worldwide, and Res Radio. She’s been profiled by Grammy.com, NPR’s Art of the Story, Annabel Ross, and others. She’s collaborated with Russell Elevado, Dan Tombs, Sidney Mills and the Klezmatics and her work has been supported by New York State’s Council for the Arts, the Brooklyn Arts Council, The Goethe Institute, and the Center for Traditional Music and Dance. On June 1, 2025, Chaia released her debut album, “Yiddish Electronic”.
