Chaia (Kaia Berman Peters) is a DJ, accordionist, and vocalist. Raised in the Jewish klezmer tradition, she makes electronic music that bridges klezmer with techno and house music. Using samples from traditional klezmer tracks, Jewish liturgical music, and her own field recordings, she weaves the two traditions to create something rooted and yet new. Chaia performs as a trio with Rachel Leader (fiddle) and Maddie Russell (bass).

In 2022, Chaia founded the kleztronica rave, a celebration of queer Jewish electronic music that brings together people from around the world to celebrate radical diaspora. She's performed at the NAMM Show, NICE, A Fest, and Shtetl Berlin, as has been featured in NPR, The Jewish Week, and The Forward.
